In 2025, our Compost Club members composted approximately 4,293,772 lbs. of food scraps. Per data from CompostNow.org, this results in a net decrease in greenhouse gas emissions equivalent to 11,163,807 lbs. of CO2.

The Urban Canopy brings an experienced management team to oversee the Compost Club’s collection of food scraps for your municipality. The management team has years of experience operating commercial, residential and event composting services for the greater Chicagoland area.

Convenient Data Reporting

Our convenient member portal provides up-to-date environmental impact data specific to your property. Our drivers estimate the weight of each container upon pickup, and we calculate your impact using established conversion ratios from the EPA's Greenhouse Gas Equivalencies Calculator.
